  • Mariza Melton

    Mariza Melton

    Board Director

    Mariza Melton is Coordinator of Seminars for AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. She organizes seminars for the accreditation association around the world. She has volunteered her time as a Board Director at International Sight Restoration, Inc. since 2002. Mariza recently edited a book that is currently in production titled Science of Comprehensive Eye Banking. The book was co-authored by Christina Sanchez Miller and Eric Abdullayev. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the University of Hawaii-West O'ahu in 2000.
  • Darren Schee

    Darren Scheer, MSPH, RAC

    Board Director

    Darren Scheer is the Director of Epidemiology and Project Coordination at Pharmaceutical Development Group Inc, specializing in various aspects of pharmaceutical product development and United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory issues. In this capacity, he is also responsible for the review, analysis, and interpretation of domestic and international data and information relating to medical adverse events associated with drugs, devices, and human tissue and blood products. Darren also has many years of clinical experience in ocular tissue procurement and laboratory procedures, including work with both the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Darren obtained his Bachelor of Science degree In Exercise Science and Physiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1995. He then received a Masters degree in Tropical Health and Communicable Diseases from the College of Public Health, University of South Florida, Tampa in 1998 and performed his doctoral work in Epidemiology at the University of South Florida. Darren also served 8 years in the United States Army Infantry in various active/reserve units.
  • Henria Fain

    Dr. Henria Fain

    Dr. Henria Fain is a graduate of Florida A&M University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She went on to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and is currently practicing at the only level 1 trauma hospital in Tampa FL. She has served as a distinguished member of the board for over ten years, volunteers her time in various community organizations such as Meals on Wheels and Metropolitan Ministries, and offers free haircuts to her patients twice a month as she also moonlights as a barber/stylist.
  • Christina Sanchez

    Christina Sanchez Miller, MPH

    President/ Chief Executive Officer

    Christina Sanchez Miller is the President/ CEO of ISR Eye Banks. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Florida Southern College. She received her Master of Public Health in Public Health Administration at the University of South Florida. Christina started her eye banking career in1999. Christina is the founder of International Sight Restoration. She initiated the SEEson's Gift of Sight™ Campaign where an impoverished country is selected annually and provided 30 to 50 corneal grafts for restoring the sight to indigent patients at no charge. Christina designed the first online eye bank software, TEN™ in 2008, where surgeons can ascertain tissue in the most equitable method available. Christina has donated her time to other charitable organizations and causes, such as Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc., Tampa AIDS Network, Meals on Wheels, and Donate Life. Christina is fluent in Spanish.

    Dr. Elias Josephs, MBA

    Dr. Josephs graduated from the prestigious Columbia University where he earned his doctorate degree in dental surgery and master in business administration. Dr. Josephs specializes in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Josephs has devoted his time to a youth ministry and providing dental care to the indigent population of Harlem, New York.
